Othmann And Seven Others Reassigned
Following last night’s third preseason game, the Rangers have announced the reassignment of an additional eight players, taking their camp roster down to 34 with three games to play. Headlining the reassignments is forward Brennan Othmann, who looked strong in Game 1, but made less of an impression in last night’s 5-2 loss to the Devils.
As a 19 year old drafted out of Canadian Juniors, Othmann is ineligible to play in the AHL this year, and as such has been reassigned to the Flint Generals of the OHL. Last year Othmann was a leader in the league, scoring over 50 goals and helping Flint get into the third round of the Memorial Cup playoffs.
