Lightning acquire McDonagh

A bit of a strange move for my mind, Tampa needs more on the defensive side, but is a 35 d-man who makes $6.75M a year for two more seasons really the guy they need?  I guess we'll find out, but would seemingly mean Stamkos will not be returning...unless they can figure out where else to trim salary

So Nashville get a 2nd and a 7th (and also sent a 4th to Tampa), but that's not bad, especially given they also need to consider Duchene's buy-out numbers on their books

Should have never let McD go... and then we get Trouba...BRILLIANT!!!

McDonagh was originally traded to the Lightning by the New York Rangers along with J.T. Miller for Vladislav Namestnikov, Libor Hajek, Brett Howden, Tampa Bay's first-round pick in 2018 NHL Draft and a conditional pick in 2019 NHL Draft on Feb. 26, 2018.

Pure Genius right there folks
