You have to kick the door down to get on the ice in the NHL - see Laba and Robertson this season. Othmann did not do that. For the fans, Sheary is the real whipping boy, but he shows more juice on the ice than Othmann. I do agree that it is entirely possible that Othmann becomes an NHL regular with the change of scenery. He just wasn't showing much here. We also never see what happens in practice and we can only assume he wasn't showing much in practice, either.You know he was the whipping boy. The Rangers third and fourth line's are full of guys that did nothing more than Othmann. Its laughable Sullivans constant criticism of Othmann yet all the other useless players on the third and fourth lines never did anything wrong. Sheary in particular. I think Othmann is a player, and is going to take advantage of new life in Calgaryand just like that the Othmann Era is over!
