When I saw that play during the game, I couldn't believe there was no call. Not surprised Fox is hurt, he didn't look great when he tried getting to his feet.
Based on the time he we be out, it must be an MCL knee injury.

it allows the Rangers to go up to $9.1m over the cap while he is on LTIR, but the Rangers will not accrue any cap space. If Fox is out for the year then they’d have the whole amount to work with, but whatever portion of the season he’d return for, they’d have to be able to accommodate that prorated number for.
bottom line the only way the rangers could add salary now would be if they didn’t think Fox would be back this season, or they’d have to make moves before reactivating him
Well they got it to do without him. Pretty much their go to guy. Need a big effort from Gustafson offensively on the PP and Schneider defensively. Interested to see if Mackey “leapfrogs” Jones and plays. Don’t ever foresee Jones as a fit.
This is Jones big chance to show he is NHL material.
I remain skeptical.
