Guess that adds credence to the "Pitlick wasn't going to be around except as a call-up" line...

I get the feeling that Laviolette prefers seeing the AHL options for himself rather than relying on the Hartford coaching staff to make recommendations.

I get the feeling that Laviolette prefers seeing the AHL options for himself rather than relying on the Hartford coaching staff to make recommendations.
We have seen similar things from other coaches in their first year as HC, so probably a relatively normal practice....particularly in the second half of the season.
