He's going to be around a bit longer

I don’t have a problem with this. He’ll be 31 or 32? When the deal times out. Don’t think this is good news for Lindgren’s camp.  I love that dude’s compete level but I worry about his longevity because of how he plays.

Ooops.  Thought it was a four year extension. Guess he’ll still be 32 or 33…

Yeah, 33 at the end.  He did get a M-NTC for the first two years of the deal, which would seemingly be lowish risk.  Seems like maybe one year too long, or maybe a few dollars too many, but could also prove to be a pretty good deal too...so we'll have to wait and see.

Clearly they liked him before they got him, and didn't take long to make the extension a reality.  The right-side D now set for next year with Fox-Borgen-Schneider all signed.

Still have to figure the left out.

I recall reading that Rangers had their eye on him for some time.

This is a smart move. He seemingly has calmed down Miller (so far).

One or two possibilities, Schneider just might be in a trade for Miller now and Mancini comes up or Mancini might be trade bait.
