How long does he get a pass? Many points to ponder with him. A obvious case of favourtism with Sheary in the lineup let alone on the team. Game after game skating around aimlessly, and if he does go after a puck he always arrives just after the opposing player moves the puck. Sick of watching him. Parrsinen and Brodzynski both bring a lot more to the table. How questionable are coach’s motivational skills when he watches 5 out of 7 nothings at home. And who in their right mind breaks up Cuylle, Lafreniere and Laba when they were the best line two games in a row. And finally Panarin, Miller and Zibanejad choking the chicken, while Crosby and Malkin playing under a new coach and tripping the light fantastic. Is there a connection there somewhere.
Sullivan had two cups in his first year and a half. Crosby, Malkin and Letang were at their peak and had a young Jake Guentzel, so definetly had the horses.. Then the rest of Sullivans time there accomplishing nothing 20 NHL ex coaches couldn’t have done. Scares me the coach is just another dud especially after hiring a best friend who truly sucked as a Ranger coach Quinn. And who blew the horn to hire Quinn to coach the Rangers again?
I will say that he’s really done a great job on the defensive side, so I think that’s a plus. Roster still rough though, aside from Fox they really don’t have much play creation on the back, and Miller has largely been MIA. Guess we’ll see how things go now with Trocheck back and Perrault in the line up.
