Corey Perry?

Available, would he help? He brings sand to the linep and can play up the lineup in a pinch. Certainly brings more ingangibles than Brodzynski and Wheeler.

Played reasonably well in Chicago as Bedard's wing until the "incident".

Drury dropped the ball on Perry. Haven't heard what he signed for in Edmonton but it was probably the league minimum. An improvement skill wise over most every bottom sixer on the Rangers. Would have looked pretty good bookending and mentoring Cuylle. Jiust need a Center. He brings every part of the game the Rangers need in bucketsful, with the exception of Cuylle, Trouba, Goodrow, and Lindgren.

I see a re juiced Islander team under Roy or the Flyers knocking the Rangers off in the first round if Drury doesn't get off his ass and get creative and bring in some playoff players. Right now I don't see the Rangers surviving the first round.

Prrry was too rough and uncouth to be a Ranger with Cokehead Jimmy running things.  He told Drury to trade for Patrick Kane and Mike Modano at this year’s deadline, because they’re gentlemanly.

if I was GM, I’d sign a kid from Rikers if he was a decent skater to get this group some toughness.  Perry would’ve fit very well.

@pv29 Agreed. In Drurys eyes why have Perry at the league minumum in your bottom six when you have Vesey. Pitlick,  Brodzynski and Wheeler. 🤑

Well rumour has it the Rangers were in on trying to sign Perry. So who else is out there.? Pat Maroon, not quite as sleek afoot as Perry but still gets to where he's going, usually snarling. The Rangers have to get some of this type, to have any hope this year. Out with Pitlick in with Maroon.

Corey Perry would have helped, but the Rangers need 3 more important things:

1. top 6 rw

2. 3rd line center

3. Play Quick more than Igor as Quick is better than Igor at the moment. It seems Allaire has worked his magic with quick. I hope Allaire can do the same for Igor.

Agreed as long as the top six and third line Center have some jam and bite. Can still move guys like Vesey, Pitlick and even Kakko out and bring in similar cap smart contracts that play a different harder game.
