This guy will get stolen away if he doesn’t get signed before free agency. Get something done Drury, sooner than to late.

While I'm less concerned about an offer sheet post the Kreider trade, sure would be nice to get this guy under contract...and certainly if they give $8M to Gavrikov

Cuylle is almost guaranteed to receive a offer. Especially now that Toronto signed Knies. Read some babble Miller might receive a offer high enough for the Rangers to receive a first and a third pick's in next years draft. Anyone see that unfolding? Would be a dream come true no?

Miller's qualifying offer is a tad over $4.6 million....which I believe is the lower amount that can be offered through a sheet.  Compensation for such an offer is a first and a third.

That's what it is. But will a team actually deem him worth that is the question.

I believe there is a GM who will stick his neck out.

I think he's going to get a offer Drury can't match unless its a sign and trade. I won't be surprised to see a 7 mill to 9 mill offer which requires a 1'rst, 2nd and 3rd compensation. Ask yourself how many teams would be all over that trade. More than a few. Drury has bungled this.

I think there is less worry that Cuylle will get a sheet as the NHL is chock full of "CYA/take no risk/don't eff your buddies who might give you a job at some point" GMs.

There is that and I hear you. But St. Louis showed that don't matter. G.M's like Doug Armstrong don't need help finding their next job. Or if its done it will be by a rogue newcomer looking to make a name. I suspect the NHL as a league would encourage some RFA signings or a class action lawsuit based on what you say might just fly.

If I am Cuylle I want out of the effed up organization... By the time this team becomes a legit SC contender he might be past his prime or become a cap casualty because of all the current and future bad contracts this teams always seems to get into. In hindsight was Barclay Goodrow's absence the reason th Rangers missed the playoffs last year?

If they need me to bleed, then I'll bleed for my team

No.  But the way Drury was an ass about that, and handling Trouba.  Also wonder how much Trouba's personality at being sidelined also contributed, but no on Goodrow.

Goodrow and Trouba were important members of the Rangers. But I’ve said all along Goodrow was a very important Ranger in that room. Not his fault he got to much money. He played hard most every game. And stepped it up come playoff time. Drury blew it the way he got rid of Goodrow. He could have moved out more than a few before Goodrow.
