Is there a current NHL player that used to play for the Rangers that you think could fit in/fill a need with this year's team? I fully realize that there are cap issues and limited players that you can trade to swing the cap space but get creative and let's hear what you got.

There are a couple of ex Rangers out there that could fit if we could make the right moves like:

Zucc $4.125 Could answer a lot of questions @ RW

Anthony Duclair $3M  He only comes to mind B/C he played well against the Debs last nite...

Jesper Fast $2.4M ( I don't think you could pry him away from Car tho

Thoughts?

I was thinking Copp too but I think he is making too much money ($5.625) . However someone was making a case for Tarasenko ( remainder of his 1 yr $5M contract) at the deadline.

Marc, but that was total sarcasm. I do not want any ex-Rangers, and as much as I liked him, that would include Zuccarello. He just wouldn’t fit into this lineup.

Not even Tarasenko? Given our situation on RW I'd like to see Vlad make a comeback to NY.

The obvious answer we have not mentioned is Buchnevich - he is at 9g 10A for 19points.

I'm on the fence on Vlad. It will take a 1st and Ottawa has to eat 1/2 salary, but I would much rather see a banger to gear up for the playoffs.

I'm sure you know, we could of had Vlad for free in the 2010 draft, but instead chose McIlrath. Still waiting for McIlrathtime.

Reportedly could have had Tarasenko in exchange for Buchnevich too.
