It’s called triangulation and the jets are excellent at it on zone entry’s and attacking the net.

Zib doesn’t miss a freaking payday though, does he?  I’m so tired of his lackadaisical friggin effort.  Glad I live out west and don’t have season tickets.  All that smack talk about Trouba, but you know what?  At least he plays like he gives a shit.  Zib is what Don Cherry used to call a “Chicken Swede.”

I still think his back is messed up. His skating has no jump and he could always skate, either that or he got old quick. He was never a lazy player and you usually dont turn lazy.

I hear you and I know I’m overreacting. But the dude isn’t right physically. Everyone in the league plays hurt, I’m sure. But no one should play injured.  If Zib is injured, shut him down and get him right because his current level of play is only hurting the team. He has no jump, and he’s been treating the puck like a hand grenade in the defensive zone.  Plus he never initiates contact so you’re probably right.

Totally agree. This the main stupidity of sports - playing injured. The decision is Zib at this level is better than figuring out how to replace him. This decision ignores the fact that he is not getting better. This has been going on all season. It is dragging down the 2 top lines. Trocheck/Panarin/Laf did not have issues and lav juggled them in an effort to get Zib going. It is not working.

It is apparent something is wrong with Zib either he don’t care or he is hurt. And I’m in agreement much more likely playing hurt than he stopped caring. He has been a top player on the Rangers in the past. If he is hurt, he’s too hurt to be effective. Trochek, Chytill 1 and 1a and Brodzynski 3. It’s why Brodzynski is on the team. Let him heal and get back to 100%.

I also forgot to mention Zibs turnovers last night were polished up by Millers -4 night. Miller looked like a rookie who just played his last game, and got the bus ticket shortly after.  Miller was gawd awful.

Totally agree. But it looks like Miller’s “punishment” will be playing on the first pair with Fox.  Lav’s has forgotten more about hockey than I’ve ever known, so I’ll trust his judgement. That said, I think he needs to put Trocheck, Panarin and Alexis back together; and figure out what to do about Zib.  I think he’s playing injured and keeping him in the lineup isn’t helping him or the team.  But like I said, Lav’s body of work speaks for itself.
