If its me, I move Kreider, the Rangers are getting nothing from him. He's moveable and will bring a decent return and the Rangers need some new blood. I dump Vesey and bring up Rempe or find a higher calibre player with Rempe's attitude, who initiates every shift, and all shift. Vesey is vanilla plain his shelf life has expired. Brodzynski brings more than Vesey. On defense I'm shopping Miller another guy giving about 60% on his good days. Just no consistency or improvement in any part of his game this year, and he was never overly consistent in years past. Saw a guy today Montour who battled and was one of many krackheads in Rangers faces who never responded. at least get a warrior for the D.
I know not a lot of love for Zyb on here but if Kreider gets moved I want to see Zib without the pylon on his wing, that does zero work, can't move the puck out of his end, never forechecks hard, just stands around waiting to tip something in. I said yesterday the only time he works is catching up on a 2-1, so usually Zib has to pass it to him for a tapin. Zib has a no move contract and this time of year impossible to move , work with him. You know with Cuylle you are going to get a honest effort with some attitude. Its promotion time for him to the top six.
And lastly dump Housely the defense is a mess.

Drury hasn’t done anything that he couldn’t have done last summer. I think Anaheim offers the same deal then threat or no threat by Trouba he wouldn’t play. That allegedly was Trouba’s hammer last summer. Drury still should have been able to make a trade then. And as a G.M. he had to know this was not going to play out well. Drury dropped the ball not getting something done last summer. Drury got played by Trouba and his Agent. Only adding to the list of potential issues causing this free fall.
I’m not saying that is the root of the Rangers poor play so far this year, but it doesn’t help.
Certainly today’s game suggests they still have issues. Maybe players have quit on Drury for his handling of both Goodrow and now Trouba. I think there are some issues with Laviolette and his deployments, especially the sad power play that he keeps booting out the same old same old. Only an idiot doesn’t comprehend the status quo power play has not been a difference maker in the playoffs, and should comprehend you probably need to change the personnel to improve it. There are probably more than a couple young players, Lafreniere, Kakko, Cuylle, and Chytill that might move the dial if given a chance on the top unit.
The Rangers have huge issues with some top 6 forwards invisibility, and don’t get me started on Miller. Laviolette has to start playing his best players in the top six and it don’t matter the salary.

Was at the game this afternoon with my son.
Miller is out of position so often it's amazing. Hope he stays healthy until the trade deadline.
Kreider just floats until he sees an opportunity for a break in. Otherwise, just out for a skate. Pack the bags and send his ass to San Jose.
Vesey adds nothing. Invisible. Makes no sense having him in the lineup as opposed to Rempe, albeit for the lousy 8 minutes he gets.
Lindgren is done. He has no bite to his game and he's an injury waiting to happen because he's undersized. With Lindgren, Fox, K'Poke, and Jones, nobody keeps their head up in the Rangers zone. They play no-hitting on defense and the crowd is even yelling at them to hit somebody. Pillow soft on defense, not much better on offense.
Chytil is their most dynamic player, and Cuylle their most physical. Panarin is magical when he has time and space, but against the heavier teams he's ineffective. Fox is also in that category.
This team needs a heart transplant. They just took out the old heart when Drury traded their captain. He hasn't replaced it with anything yet. He's left them with the same "leadership" group that hasn't won anything and disappears in the playoff. Bold strategy, let's see if it works out for them.
