I detested man on man, and I remember even Joe talking about it being a bit of an anachronism when Laviolette was doing it down in Washington

Primarily because Drury broke the team's spirit and so the team just wasn't as committed...but even with that, Shesterkin was a big difference, he had a legendary season in Lav's first year.
