Tampa have been up and down since the all-star break, which is when the Rangers last played them (a 3-1 win): 7-7-1 record over that period, with two of those wins coming in the shootout. Vasilievsky is 6-6-1 in that stretch and has given up 44 in those 13 games, including being pulled after two periods when he gave up 6 goals on 22 shots against Tampa back on February 17th.
He had an easier time in his last game, facing just 25 shots total against the Flyers - the game Tortorella got tossed - as he backstopped a 7-0 win.
The Tampa offense has been okay for the most part in this period, with 47 goals in the 15 games, just over 3 goals a game. it's really been the defense and goaltending that has been underperforming. Perhaps not as surprising when you see their D now consists of Cernak, Dumba, Fleury, Hedman, Perbix and Raddysh (of the Darren kind)
