Classy move by him though, not to take Sam's spotlight.  I don't mind them moving on from him, hope we get a younger guy like Callahan or Boyle than another older guy

Although I never liked him as a Ranger broadcaster I do agree that it was classy of him to let Sam have his spotlight. I think the Rangers should put a hot babe in the booth so we have something to watch for the next couple of years. Seriously I'm ok with Cally but I don't like Boyle... How about Mike Rupp? He does pretty good on with analysis. The best choice for me would be Eddie Olczyk. He already has chemistry with Kenny.

Very classy of Joe. Say no to Maloney good guy but a little long on the tooth. Also would like to see a younger guy and agree either Callahan, Boyle or my choice Valliguette. 

 

Kind of surprised that we haven't heard who will replace Micheletti yet.  I know some want Dave Maloney, but that would seem to be a short term solution, and one perhaps that MSG might be a bit wary of given his tendency to be critical of the team.

I seem to recall seeing somewhere a while back that Callahan was the leading candidate.  I would leave Valliquette in the studio.  He's more critical of the Rangers than Maloney.

I wouldn't mind Callahan if he's interested

 

Maloney would be the equivalent of Butch Goring/Ken Danyko 🤮 

So they made it official, it’ll be Maloney.  Have to wonder how long he’ll last…already up there
