Bruins gut out a 2-1 game five win. Nice to see a team play balls out .

Of the opinion the extra day off will help the Rangers more than the canes who would love to be playing today.

The Rangers have been in to many of these types of games, leading the series but choking up games allowing other teams to get back in the series and eventually win it. Can they really lose four in a row on top of the Jersey, Tampa fiasco's with out balling up in at least one game, and win?

Kreider and Panarin in particular were gritty against Washington and a game or two against Carolina, but have since been playing like last year avoiding all contact. Trochek and Laf disappeared last game.  Zibanejad working hard same as last year but needs someone on his line to help him out. Roslovic and Wennberg proving to be basically useless, and in Roslovic's case giving up opportunities and he's another one who doesn't like any contact. Time for the big boys to put on their big boy pants.

They lost to NJ largely because of a hot goalie. Neither Canes netminder fits that description.

The loss to jersey was due to a lot more than a hot goaltender. Mostly Ranger self inflicted.
Tonight’s game takes me back to 1994. I remember well the Rangers losing game 5 and headed to New Jersey down 3-2 and me thinking they were done and off to a bar I went and tied one on while the sixth game was on. Never really paid a lot of attention to the game and was rather surprised when Messier had the hatty and the series was going back to NYC for a game seven. Which I watched. And I don’t know what others who watched that series think but to me they were toast headed to Jersey for Game six. I go back to Ratelle breaking his ankle and basically useless to the Rangers who had a great chance with Ratelle, so seen the disappointments for sure.
I don’t see the Rangers in those types of holes, got a lot better starting point mentally for this game. Same as recent history it’s on them to make their way.

Thanks for that - I had not thought about the Jean Ratelle broken foot since forever. That was mean of you.

And then there were four teams left.

Edmonton vs Dallas.

Dallas in 6

Florida vs New York Rangers

Rangers in 7

EDM v DAL - Dallas in 6
FLA v NYR - Rangers in 7

Sorry to copy you Laf, but I'm not picking against the Rangers, and after the way I saw Vancouver take it to the Oilers AND the way the Stars managed the Avs, I think they make it through to the final
