It is also becoming glaringly apparent the Rangers defence  need a refresher course on taking away the opposition path from behind the net to the front. Sooner or later it’s going to cost them, and typically it’s  at crunch time .

That should have been TMM on FL - it hit Tarasenko going on to the bench

Yeah I was thinking the same thing...the guy at the other end had jumped on.  Not the most obvious TMM, but definitely callable

 

I think Panarin shot the puck at Tarasenko on purpose and hit hit him on the way in to the bench - the replacement Panther was completely on the ice  - for sure a TMM

 

Well we see what Miller is made of the rest of this game. 

All in all with the exceptions of the breaks for Florida the Rangers are still in a good place. Weathered the home team advantage in the first, now start chipping away at how they want to play. And get deadly on the revlon pp calls coming. 

You can see the intensity in Fox in the dressing room, when they do a room scan.

Well we see what Miller is made of the rest of this game. 

Rangers need to get tougher and bigger on D. If Fox is going to stay as a top pair skilled D man we need to make up for his lack of size and strength. As smart as Fox is, it is negated by how stupid Miller is.

 

Rangers are so hard to watch right now. The seem to be on D 70% of the time and have no room for error. Pucks are always just out of reach. painful

Not doing a very good job breaking out of their zone, some unforced errors to start the 2nd

7-0 shots in the 2nd and the Rangers play their standard 2nd period

Throw in Panarin in that proposed trade with Ottawa

Kakko still easily knocked off his path - so soft

Panthers called for interference...Rangers finally had some zone time

Fox beaten badly got spun around like a top
