The regular season wraps up tonight for the NHL, so figured we should get this game 1 thread up. Early indications suggest that Laviolette is going to stick with Rempe, meaning Brodzinski would remain a healthy scratch. Looks like he's sticking with the Miller-Schneider and Gustafsson-Trouba pairs too, so basically the same line-up that won the last two games. While I'm looking forward to what the Rangers can do in the playoffs, I'm wary of this opponent. The season series was 2-2, although they haven't played each other since January 14th. The Caps haven't been giving up many PPs, and are pretty stingy allowing shots and goals, and if they get a lead first the Rangers will have to be very patient. They're not a very high scoring team, but are one of the best teams in the league at low-scoring wins.
