Kakko with the EN chances and nada

If they need me to bleed, then I'll bleed for my team

Chytil mules the puck up and feeds Belzile who goes 5 hole. I hope Chytil lasts more than a few games this season.

If he can play like this a good part of this season, it does make the Rangers a different team..

It do really firms up a potentially strong third unit. Also need Kakko to hopefully regel with Chytil.

Chytil looked really good tonight, good confidence boost after last year no doubt.  Kakko still looks hesitant...

Mancini with a great game, if he keeps that up he'll be in line for a call up sooner rather than later, and with Trouba likely gone next Summer, he could really make his case this year on the right side.

Fitzgerald looked a bit overmatched, and looks the journeyman that he is.  Thought Scanlin looked slow, and Mackey had a modest game...Schneider seemed to get going as the game progressed, but not too worried about the established guys.

Othmann played more like a third liner tonight, going the hitting route rather than the playmaking one...but did get a few plays in here and there.  Thought Sykora looked a bit behind...he's still very young.  Chmelar too wasn't hugely noticeable outside a couple of plays, including one he tried to inside-out the defense and had the puck taken from him.

Vesey and Brodzinksi both turned in what you'd expect...though Brodzinski's timing seemed a bit off.

Thought Domingue had a slowish start but got going, and both he and Garand only gave up goals on rebounds, and had to make several saves in close.

Both teams largely comprising AHLer/bottom end roster folks, so not worth getting to excited about anything at this point

Second Liner

The sooner you can trade Kakko the better, before his value is as low as a bag of pucks. If we can get a 2nd rounder, thank you.

Chytil looked great, but one big hit away from saying goodnight.

I don't know why you feel Fitzgerald was overmatched. I thought he was one of the better dmen. Robertson was unoticable, which I guess is a good thing.

Story of the game? Our goalies beat theirs. Typical Ranger game.
