Good to see Garand in there...

I didn’t think Othmann had a chance to make the team but it seems he is an easy player to have chemistry with. Plus with idiots like Panarin and Zibanejad now becoming similar who can’t seem to play with almost anybody, that bodes well for him.

Seems like Lava’s system is better at three things that pissed me off for at least 5 years. One, breaking out of the zone. Two, actually forechecking effectively. Three, cover the fn points for once.

Maybe it's just these tired, old eyes -- but for the first time in a LONGGGGGGGGGGGG time, the Rangers actually looked like they knew what they were doing.....didn't look lost at all (of course I only saw second half of the game, but still).  That's a big improvement so far.

I liked Edstrom, moves real well, was physical, a future NHL’er .

I thought Edstrom looked better last year in camp but it did seem like those 2, 6'7 guys take up a lot of space and gave the Isles problems in their own zone.

Haven't really been impressed with Rempe's fighting ability, but his size is certainly hard for some to handle

Thought he won several fights early last season against tough opponents in the A. Then no one would challenge him.

Certainly possible, might also be that the ones I saw (which were like last night's) were outliers.  He's not only tall, but 240lbs or so, so that makes it harder for opponents to get in (although he did take that quick punch from Zayde Wisdom, who is 8 inches shorter and almost 50lbs lighter during the prospect game).

@fish This is the one I remember from last season:

Definitely effective in that one.  I think part of what I see is that his punching motion appears kind of slow, but when he gets the position advantage like he did that fight, the opponent doesn't have much he can do about it.  Certainly not one of those guys who throws a bunch of quick jabs and then the haymaker...he just goes straight for the big wind-up.

he throws long looping punches... needs to go to the Colton Orr school of facial reconstruction
