Rangers injury updates

Pitlick has begun skating on his own again, but not ready....looks like Cuylle might get a shot on the Zibanejad line. Leschyshyn comes into center on the third line, Bonino shifting over to left wing, and Wheeler down with Vesey and Goodrow...maybe that's the third line now.
It looks like Laviolette wants to get a sense of the players down in Hartford, and the org considers Leschyshyn being the best all round guy down in Hartford at the moment

Especially since Nash and Edstrom are both out (week to week).

Posted by: @AnonymousPosted by: @AnonymousOthmann back to Hartford, Leschyshyn called up which begs the question? But why.? He can't carry Othmann or Edstroms skates. Unless its a bit of a chance for someone see him get 4 shifts and then have him thrown into obviously needed moves. of some kind. And Laviolette doing his due dikigence probably wants a peek.
Edstrom is hurt and unavailable. Leschyshyn plays center, so maybe Laviolette is going to juggle the line combos.
I think its Laviolette doing his due diligence to get a handle on whats available to him. And he will soon see Leschyshyn brings nothing to the table. Would have been better for the team to keep Othmann up. Leschyshyn is not capaple of playing at a higher level than Boninno or Goodrow at center so why bother. Robertson has also finally been called up but unlikely to play even if Trouba doesn't. Would like a package built around Kakko, including Leschyshyn and Jones, to get some real help in here, especially if Chytill can go on long term disability.

Pitlick skated in a non-contact jersey today with the team, so perhaps not as serious as it could have been. Kakko is practicing fully and is on trip, so figure he's a good chance to get in a game against Washington...either Saturday or Sunday...or maybe both

Robertson called up again. I get they need a backup with three in four out west. But the kid is in his rookie contract final year. Obviously one of the top dmen in Hartford. To know what you have isn't a game or two in order?
Robertson has not been great this season. If anything, he seems to have regressed but he did miss significant time last year.
Really wish they hadn't lost Emberson.

Yes Emberson seemed to be coming along. I’d be surprised if there was much difference with Jones and a Robertson or Emberson.
Probably true.

New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren suffered an upper-body injury in Sunday's 6-5 overtime win against the Islanders. Lindgren had an assist in the Stadium Series game but couldn't thoroughly enjoy the victory after taking a stick to the face from Islanders defenseman Alexander Romanov, which forced him to exit the game early in the third period. More info on Lindgren's injury is expected on Tuesday.
He took a stick to the face and it was reported that there was a laceration "near" his eye by Ray Ferrarro during the game. let's hope it is not anything to do with his eye.
If they need me to bleed, then I'll bleed for my team
