Its the can you help out look. Rangers need what both these two bring. Hard to say what the plan is beyond that, other than Pitlick and Goodrow probably the most vulnerable and maybe Brodzinski if Coach thinks Edstrom can play 3C. Goodrow mostly because of cap, because he knows how to play in the playoffs. But as you say curious indeed.

Thought they did okay in their first game together. Rempe didn't get a lot of ice time, and it wasn't regular circumstances, but will be interesting to see how he does going forward. Edstrom seems to be a smart player, and neither seem to be too slow yet, though we'll have to see how they do against speedier teams.
They'll get another shot tonight, but with 17 days until the deadline, it could change at any point
Playing catch up all game didn't help the fourth lines ice time. Hopefully they get a little more time tonight.
