As much as I like Rempe, I would take Olivier now in exchange. Rempe may ultimately turn into something better than Olivier, but the Rangers need help and leadership now.
Kreider for Frederic plus a late-round pick; that would be a no-brainer for Drury to make. Send Sleepy Sleider back to Beantown for his emotional well-being and the separation anxiety that will happen without DJ Mika to hug.
Neither will happen, unfortunately. Olivier is part of a group in Columbus that's trying to turn things around there and would be a bad move for them. He's very well-liked in their room. Nobody wants Kreider unless he's being given away by the Rangers. I still have that vision in my head of Kreider asking for permission from the coach to fight Subban at MSG. I mean, who the F does that? Pathetic.
However, Patrick Kane may be available at the deadline, to help with a late run to make the playoffs. FML.
The 8th game of Rempe's suspension is against Dallas at MSG. So there is the mindset of Parros at work. Brilliant idiot. Meanwhile, the Rangers have to play Tampa, Florida, Boston and Washington without Rempe.
Rempe already has a totally wrecked reputation and he plays for the Rangers so he is totally effed. He is also out there trying to hurt opposing players looking like Pvt Pyle while uttering “Seven-six-two millimeter, full metal jacket" I for one hope we have seen the last of him for the NY RANGERS.
