Training Camp Roster

The Rangers have 22 players remaining in Training Camp:

Forwards (15): Brett Berard, Jonny Brodzinski, Sam Carrick, Will Cuylle, Adam Edstrom, Noah Laba, Alexis Lafreniere, J.T. Miller, Artemi Panarin, Juuso Parssinen, Taylor Raddysh, Matt Rempe, Conor Sheary, Vincent Trocheck, Mika Zibanejad

Defensemen (7): Will Borgen, Adam Fox, Vladislav Gavrikov, Matthew Robertson, Braden Schneider, Carson Soucy, Urho Vaakanainen

Goaltenders (2): Jonathan Quick, Igor Shesterkin

Rangers only need 13 of the 15 forwards so 2 got to go. Probably Laba is one. Its so easy to use the excuse we don't have to put him on waivers. Instead of justifying he's on the team because he's outplayed, Berard, Brodzynski, Carrick, Edstrom, Lafreniere, Parssinen, Raddysh, Rempe, and Sheary, but very unlikely to stick unless Sheary gets sent packing. Drury likes third and fourth liners with no upside. 2nd cut will likely be Brodzynski or Berard results of todays game to determine. Defense a word on Robertson. He's finally hopefully going to get a chance after a training camp where he was only outplayed by Schneider, Gavrikov, and Borgen. Soucy, Vaakanainen, Fox and his last year ugly form on full display, not so much. I'm not saying Robertson is better than Fox only that Fox had a terrible camp, for a guy who needed a statement "I'm back" camp, and impress a coach who didn't like him much last year in the World Cup. Fox was very uninterested training camp participant. Soucy and Vaakanainen have nothing on Robertson. Certainly Morrow is a guy who is only a phone call away so defense is not set in stone.
