Winnipeg was having a good night last night, Boston not so much. Final score was 7 - 1.
In the 3rd, when the Jets scored on the power play to make it 6 - 1, Frederic of Boston picked a fight with Winnipeg’s David Gustafsson, who had never been in an NHL fight. Frederic knocked him down with one punch, then threw a couple as Gustafsson was going down.
Now, Winnipeg showed why they’re not the Rangers. Instead of waiting until the next game against Boston (like when Panarin got mugged by Wilson) they reacted immediately and appropriately on their home ice. Logan Stanley went right after Kastelic. Then, on the next faceoff, their CAPTAIN, Adam Lowry, threw down with Zadorov. Not a coincidence that Trouba played with this team and guys like Lowry.
If you think that things are as bad as they can get for the Rangers, buckle your seatbelts. They haven’t played the Caps or Bruins or Panthers yet during this ugly stretch. How will the Rangers react when things get ugly like they did in Winnipeg?
