The Rangers are back in New York, and it sounds like John Tortorella is much happier having put the European trip behind him. With a full week between games, he’s getting a chance to run the team through practice this week, a luxury he didn’t have as much in a hectic schedule to start the season.
That means we’ll see more of Brandon Dubinsky, Marian Gaborik and Brad Richards before he thinks about breaking up the line…
On the injury front Mike Sauer and Wojtek Wolski had the day off from practice per Steve Zipay -Newsday and Andrew Gross – Bergen Record. Sauer is being given time to work on strengthening the shoulder he injured against Philadelphia in the preseason, while Wolski got another day to recover from his strained groin.
As for Marc Staal, the Rangers want him to continue to work with the doctors, and aren’t expecting to see him any time soon.
