Arbitrary Decisions

The headline Rangers related story – albeit a recently former one – comes from Vladimir Tarasenko, who fired his agent Paul Theofanous and hired J.P. Barry and Pat Brisson. The move comes a couple of days after Tarasenko was linked to the Carolina Hurricanes, and reportedly received multiple offers from teams in the $5.5M to $6.5M range.

Rangers Expected To Buyout DeAngelo

The Rangers may have changed management and coaching staff, but the expectation that the Rangers will buy out defenseman Tony DeAngelo from his final contract year remain. Suspended since an altercation with goaltender Alexandar Georgiev on January 31st, following a 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins, in which the pair had a mix-up that lead to the […]
The Team Is Kind Of The Same

If you look at the team that lost 0-3 in the qualifying round back in August, you would see just a handful of changes. Disagreements Caused Richards Decision

If you’re wondering what exactly the Rangers were thinking when they decided to keep Richards, then you’re not alone. The general consensus outside the Rangers was to buy-out the veteran center who has seven more seasons remaining on his nine year contract. Within the Rangers hierarchy, it appears it may not have been quite so […]
