Some intrigue with former Ranger Vladimir Tarasenko, who has apparently fired his agent and hired a new one per Larry Brooks on Twitter. While there's no firm reporting, it does leave open a small possibility that Tarasenko might be willing to return to New York at a more team friendly amount.
Even with that said, it would have to be a very limited dollar value, and might have to wait until after K'Andre Miller and Alexis Lafreniere are signed. Unless Drury can find a taker for the last 4 years of Barclay Goodrow that is.

Gretzky plays his last game |
On April 18th, 1999 'The Great One' played his last NHL game. At age 38, Wayne Gretzky decided that it was time and made the decision to move on to the next chapter of his life. Gretzky played his final three seasons with the Rangers, helping them reach the Conference Finals in 1997 where they were eliminated by the Flyers in five games, recording 10 goals and 10 assists in the 15 games.
It would ultimately be the last time he'd play in the post-season, as the cost of the 1993-94 Cup had finally caught up with the team, leaving Gretzky's surrounding cast somewhat thin. The Rangers lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 in that final game, with Gretzky assisting on the only goal by Brian Leetch. |
