Callahan Resigns
With less than 24 hours remaining before his scheduled arbitration hearing, Ryan Callahan has accepted an offer for a three year contract with the Rangers. The deal will pay the Rochester native an average of $4.275M over each of the next three seasons, in exchange for giving up two years of potential free agency.
The deal means the Rangers have successfully locked up all four players that filed for arbitration before their hearings, and along with the Steve Eminger signing yesterday, sets up what is likely to be the core roster going into training camp in seven weeks time.
