Stu Bickel Clears Waivers
After sitting out the last seven games as a healthy scratch, the Rangers have decided to place defenseman Stu Bickel on waivers as they prepare for potential additions from Europe and possible moves at the deadline.
Bickel carries a $750,000 cap hit, and seems unlikely to be claimed off of waivers at this stage of the season. After clearning waivers, the Rangers nowhave the option to assign him to the AHL, or continue with him on the roster.
