Motte Suffers Significant Injury
It’s been a busy day for injury updates, with the news that Tyler Motte may be out for substantial time, and the impending return of Kaapo Kakko and Kevin Rooney as soon as tomorrow. Filip Chytil also suffered an undisclosed injury, and is out day to day.
The most impactful news though, is that Motte could well have played his last game as a Ranger. The UFA fourth liner suffered what looked like a shoulder or upper arm injury when he was caught in a vulnerable position by Penguins forward Anthony Angello. Motte was leaning overreaching for a puck when Angello caught him with his hip, making contact with Motte’s shoulder.
