Chytil Injury Update

if he’s getting hurt just from falling down….hard to see if ever com8ng back for sure
Sounds similar to the Paul Kariya situation way back when.
Except Chytil isn't as talented as Kariya, so time for him to toss his skates in the Hudson.

I agree....I think he's lucky it happened when it did rather than taking a hard hit/fall in a game -- that had the potential to be really serious.Posted by: @fishPosted by: @mjolnirI honestly do not believe he'll ever return.Posted by: @Anonymous$13 million remaining on his contract. Yeah, I would agree. We overachieved with this draft pick (21 overall), when we really needed to, considering picking Lias 7 overall. Losing Chytil makes these busted picks feel worse.

Yes unfortunate for Chytill but time to move on. Take advantage of his cap space and go. The Rangers need some changes, as far as I’m concerned Wheeler can go, will get to Kreider a little later. Second line is probably ok, can’t change everyone. Third line bye bye Kakko and need a Center. Fourth line need a lot more grit so would move Vesey and Pitlick for physical smart bangers. Which brings us back to Kreider and I’d love to see him moved for a guy that shows up every night, plays physical, and a lot more greasy. Kreider is way too easy to play against. Rangers are going nowhere playing turn the other cheek hockey.
On defence build around Fox, Trouba and Schneider. Gustafson was a revelation while Fox was hurt since Fox has come back, he’s been invisible. Miller might be time to sell high if the right deal is out there. Same as Lindgren, love most of what he does but constantly getting banged up and there might be an ability to trade high for him out west.
Rangers as constructed don’t have a prayer to win a cup let alone get out of their division. The only hypothetical is Laviolette gets all the afore mentioned tradeable’s to switch their competitive dial from perimeter to bulldog. And good luck with that.

Chytil is back skating with the team and in a regular jersey. Laviolette said they'll be careful, but wouldn't rule out that he may make an appearance in the post-season
Appalling.

Why? Doctors have cleared him. After a month of watching zero offense from Wennberg and Roslevic, Chytil will be a welcome addition.

Hard to believe might be back, but I’m with Steadie Eddie, if cleared and he’s up to it he is an adult. We can use him. Wennberg is turning into a why did we get him guy. Haven’t seen a whole lot of anything out of him. At best s fourth line type with his lack of any offence, but totally lacking in physical attributes necessary for that role. He is a round peg in a square hole player on a hockey team. A skilled guy with zero offence and no physicality.

Chytill on the bus to Washington with the team. Practiced with Cuylle and Kakko last practice in the same jersey colour. I’d be surprised if he played the third game. Why rock the boat. Rangers really need to win this game and if not then the fourth game to at least be up 3-1 going home. They need to make this series short and sweet, the longer it goes, you get wear and tear that shows up deeper into the playoffs.

It would make more sense to me to try Chytil against Carolina than against Washington...so I guess we'll see, it also probably will take a bad game for the change to be made, which I also think is prudent

Will be interesting to see when, not if he gets in. He is a lot more capable and twice on Sunday of turning the third line with Kakko and Cuylle into a lot more of a threat than Wennberg. And shouldn’t give up much more defensively. which they will need production from that line if they move on.
