Ducks terminating Kreider Contract
Wonder where he'll land?

1. Boston — best personal/geographic fit
2. Carolina — best chance to win the Cup
3. Buffalo — very good roster fit
4. Detroit — easiest cap/roster fit
If they need me to bleed, then I'll bleed for my team
I've seen Boston bandied about as the most likely spot. Thanks for the others.Posted by: @pierre_pdarePosted by: @mjolnirWonder where he'll land?

Isles probably have the best fit, he has a home in NY still. Philadelphia would be manageable too...
I'm now seeing Montreal listed as a possibility. I don't see it.
I would hate to see him in Philly or as a Fishstick

Signed by Montreal. One year, $2M+
So he got a $2.25M signing bonus with the Ducks He signed for $2M with the Habs. The Ducks and Kreider mutually agreed to terminate his contract he walks away with $2.25M and the Ducks get $0 cap hit... But $2M in Canada is like playing for minimum wage.

That Montreal signing could go either way. His last few years in NYC I saw a guy skating hard but not doing much except waiting for the puck on his stick in scoring position. If he is not front and center on a powerplay, I don't see much value. Not particularily a guy you put out to grind down other teams best. So he's either scoring or not much use. Montreal is pretty set at the top of their roster and on the PP. As a team that already was going to challenge for top spot in the East, it will be interesting to see how St. Louis uses him.
