Every time I see Travis Green, I’m reminded of Game 4 in 1994 at Nassau Coliseum. Was there with my Dad, sitting next to the Isles bench. Al Arbour assigned Green to play center against Mark Messier. Messier abused him for 60 minutes. Beat him on virtually every faceoff, and I mean BEAT him. Won the puck and slashed, punched, and elbowed Green to the ice. My Dad looked at me at one point and said, “the refs should stop this beating, or at least give Green a standing 8 count”.
