I think you have to give LaFreniere half a season with Laviolette. His even strength Goal scoring number is a fact and its damn good for a third liner. I think your going to see a jump in his game, especially if he shows he's worthy of good PP ice time. And in that respect, with regular time on the PP, he has to be worthy. And we should find that out by Christmas.
If Lafreniere could play more shifts like the one he had there, then I think there'd be a lot more faith in him...forced two turnovers behind the Isles net on consecutive entries
He's a smart player. I would have tried him at center. He can't possibly lose more faceoffs than Chytil.
He's too inconsistent with his play.. There are times that he looks good but they get cancelled out by his ineffectiveness...He should be dominating against 3rd and 4th line players and he doesn't even come close. Time to cut bait on Laf and make room for somebody with more upside. Unfortunately his trade value is dog poo.
No argument from me, though I think he still has decent trade value. Lafreniere will never reach his full potential with the Rangers for a variety of reasons.
