You saw what they had to give up last year to get him; they knew at the time he wasn’t fully healthy. It didn’t quite come together like it probably should have, but I think they were really impressed with the way he entered and was a leader. They were just kind of hoping, wishing and praying he’d be at the Kane 88 showtime level we are used to. I think in the back of his mind, he’s also certainly intrigued on what it would be like to go back there. Maybe sort of finally put that piece back together.
I guess we'll have to start sitting roster players now...

Makes sense: bring in a coach who is putting a defensive scheme into place; then bring in a player who is allergic to playing defense (as well as being too old and too slow). That's the Rangers way!!!!

Rangers are in on everybody according to Ellidiott. He’s always babbling about something. The only guy I see getting moved is Wheeler and that would be because Othmann is ready. Not to pay 5 times as much for another old tired player.
I think Kane will end up playing somewhere cheap for this year to prove he has recovered.

Interesting update relative to Kane is that Niklas Backstrom who had hip resurfacing surgery is "stepping away" (for now) due to his hip issues.

Yeah, there's so few cases of players getting this surgery done, and no resounding successes...besides which, what would Kane actually fix on the Rangers?
