Wonder if him waving to the bench and appearing to show no remorse contributed to it...and of course him being a no-name 4th liner probably didn't make it hard for them
Seems a little harsh.... are there any comparables? I've seen a lot of 2 game suspensions to repeat offenders but never a 4 gamer to a first time offender.... Stinks of Buttman interference.

I think the wave had a affect on the length even if the NHL says it doesn't. And a kid that's created as big a stir as since who? I'm not sure I can remember anyone with his league wide press after 10 games. Maybe someone in their particular market but this guy has everybody talking about him. To bad but will tune him into the fact he will be scrutinized.

While Rempe is exciting to watch, Brodzinski has a way better game than Rempe. At this point of the season I would rather see Brodzinski keep his game in tune in case another forward gets hurt.

I'm not very high on Brodzinski, he can skate, but he tends to have little impact most games...particularly in limited minutes. I think when you have Rempe in the line-up, it does give the Rangers a bit of a different dimension, and he hasn't hurt them defensively. In fact the 4th line since he and Edstrom came up (since sent back down), has even begun to score some goals...which is remarkable given the state of the 4th line in recent years.

Rempe is still a novelty and at a sheltered 5 minutes /game, it is hard for him to make a bad play. His hitting is a huge positive, but the if refs are going to give him penalties because he is just bigger than the guys he hits (like Bastian) and he is in the box all the time, he is of no help.
