New York added some depth today, signing unrestricted free agent right wing, Paul Healey. Healey, who had been with the Toronto Maple Leafs, equaled his career highs in goals (3) and assists (7) last season and played in a career best 44 NHL games. The 6-2 185lb Edmonton native is expected to be a veteran presence on the Wolf Pack squad this season, after they let both John Tripp and Ted Donato leave via free agency.
Healey was drafted 192nd overall (8th Round) by the Philadelphia Flyers in 1993 and has appeared for both the Flyers and Maple Leafs at the NHL level. The Rangers will no doubt look to Healey to fill in for injuries and to help develop younger players in Hartford
