Heerema Reclaimed

The Rangers today reacquired Right Wing Jeff Heerema from the St Louis Blues, claiming him off of waivers and reassigning the rookie forward immediately to Hartford.  Heerema, who was originally drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes (11th overall, 1998) was picked up over the summer by the Rangers, but was selected by the Blues in the waiver draft just days later.

The former first round pick has struggled to minor league success into an NHL career early in his career, but the Rangers hope that they can get something for nothing with this depth move.
