Lampman Set To Return The Rangers have announced that they have re-signed Bryce Lampman. The fourth year pro will go into the 2004-05 season looking to win a job in the NHL, something he almost accomplished out of camp two years ago, but for an injury in the pre-season. The Nebraska native did eventually win a promotion to the NHL with a short stint after the trade deadline purge in March of 2004, appearing in eight games before returning to the Wolf Pack.
Last season Lampman was a leader for the Wolf Pack on the blue line and set a career high for points in a season with 7 goals and 18 assists. Lampman will likely compete for the final spot on the Rangers defensive roster, but is probably expected to start the season in Hartford.

Dominic Moore Signs The Rangers have announced that they have re-signed Dominic Moore. After making his NHL debut in 2003-04 with a three point night against Ottawa, Moore has found the going to be a little tougher than expected. The Rangers have worked on converting the former Harvard captain to a two-way forward and at times the going as been tough. In 2004-05, Moore got off to a hot start with the Wolf Pack, before struggling in the second half of the season and perhaps ultimately contributing to the replacement of Ryan McGill as coach.
Moore will start camp looking to force his way into the line up, but will have his work cut out for him. The 25 year old centerman will need to improve his overall play, or hope for an injury and could find additional competition for ice in Hartford this year from Jarkko Immonen.
