The Rangers have announced today the signing of veteran defensive forward Pascal Rheaume to an NHL contract, assigning him to Hartford for conditioning. Rheaume, a member of last year’s Stanley Cup Champion New Jersey Devils can play any of the forward positions and prides himself in his ability to stop the opposition.
Signed by the Devils as an undrafted free agent, the 30 year old forward made his His NHL debut with New Jersey in the 1996-97 season. Rheaume went of to play for St Louis, Chicago and Atlanta before returning to New Jersey for last year’s cup run.
