Rangers Exchange Minor Leaguers

New York General Manager Glen Sather made a minor league deal in his visit to Minnesota, acquiring centerman Cory Larose from the Wild in exchange for left winger Jay Henderson.  

Larose is a 27 year old who has had some success at the AHL in his three year professional career, collecting 50 goals and 70 assists in 136 games with the Houston Aeros.  Larose was second on the Aeros this season in points with 56 in 58 games played.

Henderson moves on to his third team this season having started the year with the Providence Bruins, Boston’s farm team.   Henderson was acquired on January 19th in exchange for Boston’s 9th round pick next year, sent to the Rangers in a deal that shifted Krzsyztof Oliwa to Boston two weeks earlier.  Henderson played just 14 games with the Wolf Pack, registering 3 goals and 4 assists.
