The Rangers today announced their preseason schedule, with six road games to kick off their 2013-14 Stanley Cup campaign.  With MSG still undergoing rennovations, the Blueshirts will spend their first week with two games against the division rival Devils and Flyers, before heading west to play their remaining four games against the Oilers, Flames, Canucks and Kings.

New York kicks of the preseason with back to back games on September 16th and 17th, before taking a six day interlude on the way to four games in five nights, including three in three from September 23rd – 25th.  The final game of the preseason is set to be played in Las Vegas.

The Rangers have announced that training camp will open September 11th this season, six days after the prospects begin their season in the Traverse City Prospects Tournament.  

It is yet to be determined how many players the Rangers will invite to camp, but with a new coach, there may be interest in taking a look at a number of the fringe players, especially with injuries expected to keep Ryan Callahan and Carl Hagelin out.

The Rangers and Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL, will continue their affiliation agreement for a fourth straight year per the Road Warriors official site.  The two teams signed an agreement following the promotion of the Charlotte Checkers to the AHL, and the Rangers have had eleven players so far dress for the Road Warriors, with seven appearign for the team last year.

No Ranger prospect has yet graduated from the club to the NHL, tough goaltender Cam Talbot has dressed as a backup.

The Rangers and Restricted Free Agent will have 15 more days to try and work out a new contract, or it will be put in the hands of an arbiter.  The NHLPA announced today the schedule for hearings, and Mats Zuccarello is scheduled for July 31st.

Zuccarello has played parts of three seasons with the Rangers, and joined them late this past year following a stint in the KHL, and registed three goals and five assists to go with a +10 rating in just 15 games.  He followed that up as the second highest point getter for the Rangers in the post season, with one goal and six assists.
