So the playoffs are set, the Rangers will open the post season up on Wednesday in New Jersey courtesy of today’s 3-2 shootout loss to the Devils. The Rangers needed to win in regulation, and pulled Lundqvist with the score tied at 2-2 late in the period, but could not capitalize…even with a PP. The Devils had two PP opportunities themselves in overtime but could not beat Lundqvist.

The AHL playoff match-up for the Wolf Pack has been set. They’ll face the Portland Pirates Wednesday April 16th. The ECHL has also released their schedules, Charlotte will face the Gwinnett Gladiators, while Matt Zaba and Idaho will play the Aces.
