Game 6: 2-4 loss at Wilkes-Barre

Ugly, ugly, ugly loss. Lots of bad penalties taken by the Wolf Pack. Garand was not sharp early, gave up 4 goals on 16 shots in the first 15 minutes, but got his act together keeping the game close. Faced 41 shots overall. Only 5 shots by Hartford in the 1st and only 3 in the 2nd period.

Othmann was moved up to the top line but struggled again 5 on 5 with several blind passes that lead to turnovers. He only looks comfortable on the PP though his one-timer hasn't worked since opening night.

Brodzinski and Elson scored for Hartford.

Well it doesn't hurt to give Othmann the time and space to pick up what it's like playing against men.  The Rangers don't need him yet, and you saw what a difference with Cuylle getting a year in Hartford...and he's still learning too.  The Rangers this year are in a better position not having to rush guys, and that could bode well for the future.
