Toby might want this in prospects section but gotta like three high profile prospects on the USA team. Perrault a realistic player available after his college season ends. And a guy if his development continues will need a top six spot. And he plays the left side just like the waiting in the wings Lafreniere. Possibly a nice left side one-two punch down the road.
It's a pretty good representation given that the Rangers have largely been picking lower in the 1st round. Drury has been a little more careful on first round picks, but otherwise has dug deep into the future to bring in deadline deals over the last few years...which means you really need most of these guys to hit.
Perreault of course is the most exciting one, and perhaps is the future replacement for Panarin, while the two defensemen hopefully will provide some depth in that position (but will likely need some time in the AHL to build their games out). Fortescue is probably more a 2nd pair/3rd pair kind of guy, while Emery will hopefully be a shutdown kind of guy.
