I guess the qualifying offer is enough for now. He is a question mark - 3rd pair NYR or can he play better with a better NYR team and be 2nd pair. He was pretty shakey last year, but the team sucked and missing Igor and Fox for many games is a sure way to eff up the d side of your team. A missing Igor can ruin a NYR dman's career. 😉
