Rangers did not deserve anything for that effort. Or I should say lack of effort. I agree with X, Jones, Brodzynski are NOT the problem. Brodzynski in Particular, every time he gets in the lineup he does his job, and has never ever been the teams worst forward those nights.
Reality is there is still a leadership void in the room that even Miller, probably suffering from jet lag last night, can't fill by himself. And it starts with Kreider. The guy has to go scores his patented Zib do all the work goal, skated like a mad dog was chasing him for albeit a tougher tapin. But a Zibanejad generated tapin. That after skating like he has a cactus up his ass all game. Why is he not flying around causing mayhem all game using 10 gears up from his normal dog F@#$ speed, he doesn't have to be top end every stride but at least show some effort. Lafreniere has now bought into the Kreider style and has for most of the season.
Boo hoo Kreider and his supposed bad back, he was a lazy ass player when he was scoring during past seasons. Did the same shit then, that he does now, nothing til someone else does all the work and puts the puck on his stick, while he's on the periphery of the play in his safe place, always hiding from any kind of contact. He does convert I give him that but his game sets a terrible example for his teammates especially the younger players. Not scoring this season enhances just how little he does, and shows him for what he is. In my day he was called a dogfu#$%@.

No one said Jones, Brodzinski are THE problems. They just aren't NHL players. The problem is the Rangers management gives out horrible contracts to overpaid players that don't play to the contract so you have to have AHL equivalents in the line up because your cash strapped on the fat lazy cats.
You yourself stated Vesey doesn't deserve ice time. He was included in the ONE comment last night about the AHL players...

I do agree with your assessment on Kreider though. He is definitely a huge part of the problem. I'll take 3 JT'S over 5 Kreider's any day.

I don't disagree with you about Brodzynski but its a reality most nights he outplays some players that never sit. He and Jones who plays even less, are at best tweeners, not able to help a NHL team go deep into the playoffs. I'm not criticizing any assessment of their abilities, just pointing out the Rangers have bigger fish to replace first.

I don't disagree with you. To bad the Rangers Norris trophy winner is so small. Been proven over and over not to many cup winners with a soft undersized number 1 dman. This year add a don't seem to give a crap attitude and you got the Forward Kreider bookend. Looking at his contract Fox can be traded this year then a two year NMC then a two year limited trade clause. so the time to move him is before July 1. Plenty of teams will have interest but the Rangers want a big stud shut down Dman back. Which would help Lindgren immensely not having to cover Fox's ass all the time.
