Aside from his Cup winning team in Tampa, it seems Tortorella ends up with line-ups of moderately talented players who work hard

Scanlen good in front of the net

Would be nice if Scanlin can prove he's a viable depth option for the Rangers.  He's the 10th defender this year that the Rangers have used, and so having him and Mackey as options from Hartford provide some coverage...though he'll also be waiver eligible, so there that too

Rangers started off okay, but second half of the period they faded a bit...they didn't let up a lot of high quality chances, but they didn't have the puck much

For some reason, the Rangers broadcast isn't blacked out on Center Ice for me. So I switched over.

 

On ESPN+ the Ranger broadcast has the Flyers broadcast, just tried flipping it
