Scoop: Jones has sat for six straight games as a healthy scratch and the Rangers have given him permission to speak with other teams to seek a trade. His frustration was apparent in his comments last week, a well-liked competitor who is looking for opportunity. Jones can move well and has offensive instincts, but his undersized frame has created some limitation in the market.

Yeah, he's not a great fit for the Rangers with his size and defensive limitations, but he's solid with the puck and a team looking for some extra pop on the PP could potentially use him. Maybe a 3rd rounder for him, though wouldn't be surprised to see a depth d-man come back.
